In 1989 Max Bill created this tripartite sculpture with a hight of 32 m as a commissioned work for the then Daimler-Benz AG. The sculpture's ground plan relates to the Mercedes star. It remained Bill's the most important public sculpture and is valued as a landmark sculpture in Southwest Germany still today.
